Thanks so much to all who posted their thoughts and experiences! I don’t doubt that we are indeed fighting a battle, and that it is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness that seek to pull us under in any way possible. But what a GREAT Savior we have, one who cares for each part of our lives and desires our freedom! It was good for me to remember that HE will work toward that end, and that I can bring my heavy burdens to Him and take up His light and easy yoke — He will teach me and lead me.
